week 9

Dear Parents,
WELCOME BACK, WELCOME BACK!! Hopefully your children are as fresh and ready to go as the staff are, and are ready to attack their school work with gusto. Before you know it, we will have easter break, and then it will be the home stretch to the end of the year. Time really does fly! Now is a good chance to practice time management, and routine as come August they will be in their final year and expectations will rise!
As a staff we have seen the new school at Limhamn and to say we are excited is an understatement! It is a beautiful new building, that is made for learning!
We look forward to seeing constant improvement going forward.

Dear Parents,



Important information:


February 14th Orientation in space and time-Theme Day. 8.10-12.15. From 13.00 lessons according to Schedule. 
February 15th Study day
February 13th  Southern Sweden Sports Association Floorball for Mini, Junior, and Senior students.
The tournament will start Wednesday morning from 9:00 and conclude at 15:30 on February 13th, 2019. 
There will be no tournament fee to participate, with a trophy for the overall school champion of the day with the most points accrued and one trophy for each age/gender division.
Only 10 students will be selected for this sports event (5 from each class if possible)

Students will have an end of topic test on the content and skills they have experienced throughout the unit. They will be based on the 3 strands of Objective A and will last approximately 60 minutes. There will be 4 questions (2 for strand (i) and 1 each for strands (ii and iii) and will be assessed using Criterion A for MYP3

Week 6

Dear Parents,
Happy week parents and students. To the familes that know well done to the New England Patriots for their super bowl victory!
A big thank you to Josef and Laith that have organised healthy delicious smoothies that are being made and sold at Håkans cafe. They have already raised well over 200kr for the class fund that is now pushing well into the 8000kr mark. It has been so impressive seeing students get involved.
Only two weeks left until sports break, It would be great to see all students working hard for the last 7 school days beforehand.

Science - Combustion of fuels Investigation



Students will be presented with a range of equipment and chemicals, then will need to design an investigation that considers a factor that affects the energy release from different fuel sources. The will need to collect data, then analyze and evaluate the data to produce an investigation report.
